Nuestra NEBRIJA 30 - julio 2019
51 calibration to guarantee the collection of records, adjust and configure the OAI ser- ver, design a new graphic in- terface for our online catalog (OPAC-Online Public Access Catalog) of the repository and create new work procedures. We are convinced that a single software can cover all our needs in a much more natural way: we do not need to adapt to a new reality in terms of work procedures, the training processes of library staff are limited to small changes and adjustments, sin- ce the work interface remains the same and, fina- lly, the economic profitability of this option avoids a new maintenance expense. The mission of our Nebrija repository is to co- llect, manage, disseminate and preserve the University's scientific production with the aim of offering a platform for publishing full-text scien- tific and academic works in open access. In this way we increase the visibility and impact of the content generated by the authors and the insti- tution and, therefore, we follow the guidelines of Spanish legislation and international guidelines in this regard. The researchers, the teaching staff and the students involved in the different research projects already have a research repository to call their own, where they can host all their scientific and acade- mic production, in open ac- cess, linked to Nebrija. It would be impossible not to appreciate the harmony and the favorable working climate between Baratz and the Library Service, as well as the support from our Vice-Rector for Research, Álvaro Bustinduy; from our colleagues in Computer Systems, who configured servers and uploaded files; from the Marketing Department (Website), which was in- volved in reviewing the adequacy of the new on- line catalog to the university's brand guidelines; from the Legal Advice team, which has worked on the design of the deposit license, and from all the Library staff that at some point had to review records. The evolution of this project will settle and impro- ve the achievements, especially in the graphic in- terface of the OPAC with a responsive design for navigation on all types of devices, self-generation of covers, improved visualization of the extended information of author records, the testing of new forms of visualization, solutions for the self-archi- ving process, etc. Undoubtedly, this project has not ended, it has just begun. A powerful consultation technology that increases the visibility of our researchers This new space allows one to locate the scientific and academic works of the University's professors, in an improved environment that allows access to the full text of all the cataloged documents.
