38 Interview This year, six scholarships have been awarded: one for the Nebrija-Santander Chair in Internationalization of Companies, another for the Nebrija-Santander Chair in Risk and Conflict Management, and four for the Nebrija- Santander Chair in Energy Recovery in Surface Transportation. After starting their experience, these last four fellows tell us what this opportunity has given them. What made you decide to present your candidacy for the scholarship call? Marco Casale Nieto: First, I collaborated in the Automobile Engineering Group while doing my Final Research Project for the Bachelor's Degree in Automobile Engineering. This field of research seems very interesting for developing new technologies. Juan Manuel Díaz Montalvo: I understood the great opportunity that was presented to me to broaden the knowledge obtained in the bachelor's degree and to know its implementation in practical and real research cases. Nicolás Pérez Baena: A professor offered me this possibility when I chose the subject for my Final Research Project and I didn't hesitate. It is a fantastic opportunity. Andrés Bravo Montes: I wanted to have a first contact with real internships, as I was a senior student and was motivated by being part of a research team and knowing what challenges it would offer me and how I would solve them. What do you think the chair can offer you? M.C.N: This scholarship is a great opportunity to acquire professional experience and new knowledge that may not have been taught during the bachelor's degree. JM.D.M: This scholarship provides me with the first experience necessary to cultivate my researcher spirit and to make the leap to the working world. N.P.B: It allows me to develop my research into electric cars. A.B.M: Now I can focus my studies on a self- educated method, which helps me to propose solutions to research issues. In addition, it has given me the opportunity to acquire different perspectives and points of view. What is your role within the chair? M.C.N: I am a research assistant, supporting the developments of the group members, whether it is with information search, software management (programming, graphic design...), testing different types of prototypes, etc. JM.D.M: My work within the group at the moment consists in the acquisition and analysis of data First steps in research through a scholarship Nuestra Nebrija Editorial Department
