Once these analyses have been addressed, a comparative study of the results obtained is carried out, identifying common patterns, differences between companies and the needs they find in their internationalization process. This work is included in the publication Internacionalización de empresas gourmet (Internationalization of gourmet companies), which also includes an article by the director of internationalization of the Federation of Food and Beverage Industries (FIAB), -an entity that has collaborated with the Chair to identify cases of interest-, where the characteristics and relevance of this sector are described from the perspective of internationalization. At the moment, the Chair is working on other Journals on the internationalization of companies , particularly in the Spanish agri-food sector, that focus their activity on large-scale distribution. These studies will be available throughout the current academic year. Along with these activities, the Chair is supporting research in internationalization. For this, it has created a Network of Internationalization Researchers made up of university professors and experts in this field, who develop their activity both in the public and private spheres in different countries. Every year, the Chair, in collaboration with the Complutense Institute of International Studies (ICEI), organizes the "Internationalization Research Conference". For two days, researchers in this area present the work they are carrying out, the objectives pursued, the methodologies used and the main conclusions reached. Along with this conference, the Chair organizes two annual meetings with the Spanish administration. Specifically, with the Secretary of State for Commerce, in order to analyze the recent evolution of foreign trade and commercial policy; and with the Bank of Spain, to discuss work being carried out in this area by the Directorate of Economy and Statistics of this entity. In these meetings, researchers have the opportunity to contrast opinions with those responsible in these organizations. On the other hand, the Chair, along with the Autonomous University of Lisbon, has created the Portuguese Hispanic Forumof Internationalization, with the aim of contributing from academia to the expansion of internationalization in both countries, and to strengthen relations between them. This Forum met in 2018 in Lisbon and in 2019 in Madrid. Among the activities of this Forum, in November 2020 it is planned that the first Iberian Internationalization report. The study is completed with work on trade and investment policy, financing of internationalization and environmental sustainability of Iberian internationalization and, lastly, the presentation of the companies' vision and a list of the main direct investments of Spanish companies in Portugal, and Portuguese companies in Spain. With these initiatives, from theChair we hope to help better understand the notable internationalization effort that Spanish companies are making, and contribute to the expansion of this process.
