Premios a los alumnos La III Semana de Iniciación a la Investigación finalizó con la entrega de premios. Después de cua- tro jornadas intensas de ponencias, talleres y una visita al Instituto de Cerámica y Vidrio, dependien- te del CSIC, los estudiantes presentaron sus inicia- tivas en tecnología piezoeléctrica. El equipo integrado por Lola Castelo, Jaime Fernández Elegido, Ángela Jiao de Lucio, José Án- gel Sánchez Curto y Damián Casamitjana se erigió en el ganador de esta edición. Cada uno recibió 100 euros y, sobre todo, un espaldarazo a su futuro la- boral. “Ganar el premio ha sido impor- tante para nosotros, un paso más que nos ayuda a seguir. Además, hemos pasado tiempo juntos expe- rimentando nuevas tecnologías”, comenta José Ángel Sánchez Curto. Su compañera Ángela Jiao de Lucio cree que “colaborar con compañe- ros de otros grados te da diferentes visiones que te enriquecen”. Todos aseguran que la piezoelectricidad, “una opción verde y de futuro”, pue- de llegar a ser un ámbito interesante en su carrera profesional. El resto de grupos estuvieron formados por Nicolás Arce, Kenia Navarro, Sara Marcos, Jaime Navarro, Adalberto Argüello, Sofía Laiz, Víctor Agudo, Beatriz Gómez Espuelas, José Luis Díez Pérez, Gonzalo León, Laura Alonso y Gianluca Ferrara. El jurado estuvo compuesto por Rafael Barea, coordinador de pro- fesores en Ingeniería Industrial en la Universidad Nebrija; Ismael Payo, docente investigador del gru- po MANTIS de la Universidad de Castilla-La Man- cha; Alberto Moure, investigador del Instituto de Cerámica y Vidrio, CSIC; Javier Aranceta y Carmen Iniesta. José Luis Olazagoitia, investigador principal del Grupo GREEN en Ingeniería de Vehículos, y Jordi Viñolas, director de la Escuela Politécnica Supe- rior, también asistieron a la última jornada de la III Semana, unos días con presencia de alumnos de todos los cursos y de todos los grados de ingeniería (Automóvil, Mecánica, Diseño, Industriales e In- formática) e incluso con un estudiante de la Uni- versidad Francisco de Vitoria. Quién sabe si estos esfuerzos y los venideros dedicados a la investigación se traducen, de acuer- do con Javier Aranceta, en aplicaciones “innova- doras e imaginativas para problemas de difícil so- lución”.
