The professionalization of the sports sector in our country has generated a demand for both physical and teaching or business profiles. This eminently practical program responds to that need to train future professionals in the sports and physical recreation and health sector.
The Bachelor's Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences offers a comprehensive and multidisciplinary training in sports, delving into areas such as sports management, physical education, health and the organization of sporting events. All this with a body of professors characterized by having and academic and research profile, as well as professional.
This degree has a marked interdisciplinary nature, promoting the transversatility of students. The curriculum covers a wide range of theoretical studies, from the field of teaching Physical Activity and Sports, Sports Training, to Sports Management and Recreation and Physical Activity to improve the quality of life.
The University maintains agreements with different institutions where students can carry out their professional internships, such as the Madrid Football Federation, the Madrid Judo Federation, the Móstoles Women's Futsal Club, the Majadahonda Rugby Sports Club and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), among others. The student must complete 240 credits
The recognition of 6 credits will be assessed depending on the different activities that the student performs throughout his degree. They will be awarded for university cultural activities, sports, student representation, solidarity and cooperation, or for taking one of the following subjects: Ethics of volunteering or Human Rights.
Program which aims to promote the practical training of students, under the continuous supervision of the Department of Professional Careers of the University, the academic department corresponding to the degree and the company or collaborating institution where the practices are carried out. Advice is provided on the internship and there is follow-up and tutoring, always taking into account the professional orientation of each student.

Those interested in studying and obtaining an Bachelor's Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences from Nebrija University must be people with great interest in Physical Activity and Sports, considering this an essential practice in the development of society, they must have an interest in knowledge in general, respect for culture, dynamism and adaptability, open-mindedness, a restless spirit and proactivity, intellectual curiosity for the acquisition of new knowledge, be independent but at the same time capable to work in a team, have communication skills, respect for Human Rights and equality among people, show sensitivity towards people with disabilities. Regarding languages, a minimum level of English is not required to access the University, but it should be noted that during the training period the student must obtain at least a B2 level, corresponding to what is established in the European Framework.

Royal Decree 1393/2007 of October 29, which establishes the organization of official university education, describes the following basic competences:
Body responsible for carrying out the admission process: Admission of new students.
Specific admission criteria1. Students who have a baccalaureate degree and have passed the University Entrance Exam may apply for admission, in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 1892/2008, of November 14, which regulates the conditions for access to official university studies in Bachelor's Degree, or those established by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.
2. Also, and in accordance with the provisions of RD 412/2014, the following students may apply for admission to the university:
In the case of students with special educational needs derived from disability, the need for possible curricular adaptations, itineraries or alternative studies will be assessed.
3. Criteria of Merit assessment.

As noted in Art. 13 RD 1393/2007 of October 29, subsequently modified by RD 861/2010 and RD 195/2016, students enrolled at the Antonio de Nebrija University may request recognition or transfer of credits taken at this or another University.
Recognition is understood as the acceptance by the Antonio de Nebrija University of the credits that, having been obtained in some official studies, in this or another University, are computed in different ones in order to obtain an official degree.
Likewise, the transfer of credits implies the inclusion in the official accrediting academic documents of the studies taken by each student, and the credits obtained in official courses previously studied, in this or another University, which have not led to obtaining an official degree.
Credits may be recognized in the new studies in the following cases:
Nebrija University will take special care in the process of recognition of credits for professional experience, which will be applied with a restrictive criterion and a clear correlation between experience and recognized competences, for a correct and orderly development of the new legal setting, and within the framework of the instructions issued by the Assessment Agency both in the verification processes and in view of the accreditation processes of the degrees.
Under no circumstances will studies be recognized if taken in institutions that do not have the officially recognized character of Universities or Higher Education Centers or that, taken in Centers of that nature, do not have the character of higher studies, such as professional continuous education or university extension courses. Nor can the credits corresponding to the final research project for bachelor and master's degrees be recognized.
Credit recognition must be requested by the student at the time of formalizing their enrollment. The student must also pay the fees established for this purpose, and present the following documentation to the General Secretary of Courses:
The Academic Committee of each department will study in detail the documentation provided by the student, and will issue the appropriate resolution accepting or denying recognition and/or transfer
All the credits obtained by the student in official education taken at any University, including transferred, recognized and passed credits for the obtaining of the corresponding degree will be included in his/her academic record and reflected in the European Supplement to the Degree, if it is requested.
The University regulates and implements the recognition of credits in students' records, based on the current legal regulations and the internal one that are reflected in the “PGA_1 Procedure for the recognition and transfer of credits”, approved by the Office of the Vice-Rector for Academic Ordinance, and that are available in the Nebrija Network and the Student Portal.

This first activity for both degrees, that belong to the recently opened School, is "the seed of everything that will come for these degrees and for the School", as explained Rector José Muñiz at the inauguration.
