Documentation and InformationIt was unanimously agreed to grant the predoctoral contract to Carolina Lizeth Guthemberg Arévalo. This decision was made in line with the proposal presented by Ocarina Masid, the coordinator of the doctoral program in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching.
The Nebrija-Santander Global Chair for Spanish as a Language of Migrants and Refugees opens the application period for a part-time research contract (20 hours) to carry out research assistance tasks in the area of Linguistics Applied to Teaching Languages (Spanish as a migration language). The person hired will collaborate in the development of work within the LAELE group (Nebrija Research Group in Linguistics Applied to the Teaching of Foreign Languages), and be involved with Nebrija’s Living Lab of the Nebrija-Santander Global Chair for Spanish as a Language of Migrants and Refugees.
The Living Lab, as its name suggests, is a living laboratory whose main objective is to enable the public to be in touch with science in a dynamic and innovative social space. Nebrija's Living Lab is conceived as a meeting point for the target population (migrants and refugees, but also the general public) that facilitates the collection of data for the development of research carried out in this field of knowledge.

Nebrija University, in collaboration with the Nebrija-Santander Global Chair of Spanish as a Language of Migrants and Refugees, is proud to announce the "Awards for the Best Scientific Communications of the 1st Nebrija International Congress of Young Researchers in Linguistics Applied to Language Teaching". This competition aims to promote and acknowledge the work carried out by young researchers in the field of applied linguistics for language teaching.
This competition provides an opportunity for participants, whose submissions have been accepted by the Organizing Committee of the aforementioned International Congress, to showcase their communication skills in relation to their studies. They can present the results of their research with the primary goal of sharing their knowledge with all attendees. This is a significant platform for young researchers to demonstrate their achievements and contribute to the broader academic community.
New researchers, whose submissions have been approved by the Organizing Committee of the 1st Nebrija International Congress of Young Researchers in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching, are eligible to participate in this contest.

This contest presents Spanish-speaking and non-Spanish-speaking migrants and refugees with the challenge of developing a poetic, musical or reflective composition on the theme Language and identity, through one of the following forms of participation: video format or written text format, and one of these categories: Spanish-speaking or non-Spanish-speaking participants, respecting the instructions established by the contest rules.
