In today's dynamic and changing audiovisual industry, entertainment programs are the content that has grown the most on television and platforms. Formats such as contests and magazines continue to enjoy notable interest from viewers; programs such as talent shows, reality shows and docuseries obtain the best audience results; dating shows, celebrity content, and the acclaimed true crime shows create debates and interaction among their followers on social networks.

Based on this scenario, the Master's Degree in Creation of Entertainment Programs offers perfect training for graduates to achieve a specific specialization, or for professionals in the audiovisual industry to redirect their skills and knowledge of the sector towards designing, creating, producing and marketing television entertainment formats.

The necessary competences to develop professional work in the entertainment genre are included in our degree: from designing ideas and scripting them, to the essential knowledge for producing, directing, filming, editing and post-producing television products. We must also add the writing of content, the adaptation of decorations and spaces and the directing of the participating cast.

As these studies are programmed from practical reflection, the training also includes a number of subjects that focus on specific formats: reality television and reality shows, talent shows, magazines and contests, dating shows and celebrity programs, documentaries and true crime shows… The degree also includes a module that attends to the trends and new narratives of this genre: from the creation of new formats for the sound sphere (audio entertainment), to the development of programs oriented to its consumption on digital platforms, applications and/or social networks.

Finally, students' global vision is achieved by acquiring theoretical contents that lay the foundations of entertainment programs: knowledge of the current situation of this type of format, combined with the study of new audiences, as well as the management of international rights and adaptations, and the analysis of historical programs born in different markets.

The recently-created degree boast of a clearly contemporary nature, which does not prevent the Master's faculty -active professionals in different production companies, television stations and media- from ensuring that the latest developments in the industry are incorporated into the subjects at all time, and endorse, with their career and professional prestige, said studies. That is why the final master's project, supervised by professors, is understood as a production laboratory in which ideas and formats are developed, which, together with the obligation to carry out professional internships in the most prominent production companies and media in the sector, make this academic program one of the most demanding and avant-garde in the educational landscape.
