Extraordinary Doctorate Award 2024 Open call

All PhDs who have presented their doctoral thesis at Nebrija University between September 1, 2023, and August 31, 2024, and who have obtained a cum laude grade in their defense, are eligible to apply for this award. To apply for the award, interested parties must fill out the application and send it, along with the requested documentation, to escueladoctorado@nebrija.es before November 17, 2024.

  • Decision: The Doctoral Committee of Nebrij University has proceeded to evaluate the applications submitted. It has unanimously resolved to award the Extraordinary Doctoral Award, corresponding to the 2023-2024 academic year, to the following applicant in accordance with the call published on October 24, 2024:
    • José Luis Tapia Iglesias (PhD in Education and Cognitive Processes)

Extraordinary Doctorate Award 2023 Closed call

All doctors who have read their doctoral thesis at the Nebrija University between October 1, 2022 and September 30, 2023 and who have obtained the grade of cum laude in their defense may compete for this award.
To apply For the award, interested parties must fill out the application and send it, along with the requested documentation, to Escueladoctorado@nebrija.es before November 17, 2023.

  • Decision: The Doctoral Commission of the Nebrija University has proceeded to evaluate the applications submitted. Unanimously, it has resolved to grant the Extraordinary Doctorate Awards, corresponding to the 2022-2023 academic year, to the following applicants:
    • Oscar Castillo Campo – doctoral program in Industrial and Computer Technologies
    • Nuria de la Torre García – doctoral program in Applied Linguistics to Language Teaching.

All doctors who have presented their doctoral thesis in a Nebrija University program between October 1, 2021 and September 30, 2022, who have received the cum laude grade, will be eligible for this award.

  • Decision: The Doctoral Commission of the Nebrija University has proceeded to evaluate the applications submitted. Unanimously, it has resolved to grant the Extraordinary Doctorate Awards, corresponding to the 2020-2021 academic year, to the following applicants:

All doctors who have presented their doctoral thesis in a Nebrija University program between October 1, 2020 and September 30, 2021, and who have received the cum laude grade, will be eligible for this award.

  • Decision: The Nebrija University Doctorate Commission has evaluated the applications submitted. It has unanimously decided to grant the Extraordinary Doctorate Awards, corresponding to the 2020-2021 academic year, to the following applicants:
    • Alejandro González Muñoz, doctoral program in Industrial and Information Technologies
    • Cristina Herrero Fernández, doctoral program in Linguistics Applied to Teaching Languages

  • Decision: The Nebrija University Doctorate Committee evaluated the applications submitted. Unanimously, it has resolved to grant the Extraordinary Doctorate Awards, corresponding to the 2019-2020 academic year, to the following applicants -in alphabetical order-, according to the call published on November 4, 2020:
    • Carmen Iniesta Barberá – doctoral program in Industrial and Information Technologies
    • Sara González Berrio – doctorate in Linguistics Applied to Language Teaching

Extraordinary Doctorate Award 2019Call closed

All doctors who have presented their doctoral thesis in a Nebrija University program between October 1, 2018 and September 30, 2019, who have received the cum laude grade, will be eligible for this award.

  • Decision: Doctorate Committee of December 16, 2019.
    Unanimously, the Doctoral Committee makes the unappealable decision to award the prize to Mr. Sergio Corbera Caraballo for his doctoral thesis: Integrated Methodology for the Autonomous Management of the Functional Design Process of a Motorcycle Based on Generative Systems and Evolutionary Techniques. Presented on June 19, 2019, and having obtained the grade of Excellent CUM LAUDE, and enrolled in the Doctorate program in Industrial and Information Technology.

Extraordinary Doctorate Award 2017 Call closed

Nebrija University announces the Extraordinary Doctorate Awards for the 2016/2017 academic year. All doctors who have presented their doctoral thesis in a Nebrija University program, between October 1, 2016 and September 30, 2017, and who have also received the grade of Cum Laude, will be eligible for this award. To apply for the award, those interested must fill out the application and send it, along with the requested documentation, to escueladoctorado@nebrija.es before November 30, 2017.

Extraordinary Doctorate Award 2016 Call closed

Nebrija University announces the Extraordinary Doctorate Awards for the 2015/2016 academic year. All doctors who have presented their doctoral thesis in a Nebrija University program, between October 1, 2015 and September 30, 2016, and who have also received the grade of cum laude, will be eligible for this award.
In order to apply for the award, it is necessary for all interested parties to request it explicitly by filling out the application. All applications, together with the required documentation, must be sent to Leonor Borastero (vicerrectoradoNebrija@nebrija.es), at the La Berzosa Campus.
The deadline for receiving applications is from November 1 to 30, 2016.
Subsequently, the Doctoral Committee will evaluate all the applications and will decide on this call.
